People come to the Palm Desert for the great, hot weather and relaxing atmosphere. But, the region does present its challenges to the painting contractor. The biggest of which is direct sunlight and heat. So, if you're a residential homeowner, or commercial or industrial business, and exterior appearances are vital to your image, you might be asking yourself, “When is the best time to paint exteriors?”

Well, in a desert community such as the Coachella Valley, the ideal time to paint exteriors is early morning or the afternoon. Painting during the hottest hours—late morning until about 2pm—is not advised. You're asking for paint failure; tempting the sun, as it were. Early mornings are cooler than peak temperature hours.

Another thing to consider is that it might be worthwhile to hold off painting until slightly cooler temperatures arrive. But, you know, some paint projects just can't wait, and Moorhouse Coating is happy to plan a good time to paint your next commercial or industrial exterior project. We do this sort of thing all the time in the Palm Desert Area.

So, the best thing to do is keep your eye on the weather and communicate with your painting contractor.
